The Great Road Trip : A Road Trip with an adult son, daughter or good friend is priceless. On to Maine and Back : Our latest driving trip to Maine was as good as it gets. This first set of pictures is mainly from flowers and other scenes from rest stops. One should always get out of the car whenever possible and just look around. Seeing stuff is the main reason to drive, not fly. Most rest stops have interesting things to see like flowers, stretching motorcyclists, architectural details, etc. The last picture is from a restaurant in a middling sized New England town. I thought I caught the spirit of the place. The end page 2 through page 10 are from Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut. It is truly a magical place where our seafaring past is well-represented. Page two is nautical with a few fog pictures which are fairly characteristic of the coast. Fishing boats with traps and pots make for fun viewing.

Driving to Maine in 08. : These pictures represent the Great 08 Main Road Trip. They are more or less chronologic and include friends, scenery, road shots and favorite New England places of my youth. My other blog http://bruceobservationtower.blogspot.com/ explains a bit more. The pictures of the cars, planes and space capsule were taken in one of America's great transportation museums. It is located in the town of Owls Head, Maine and is oddly enough called the Owl's Head Transportation Museum (http://www.ohtm.org/). The old cars provide the majority of the exhibits that I saw. The is the least edited of my SmugMugs. I never met a car I did not want and here was my chance to have and share them all. Plan to visit the museum. We did it as part of our road trip to Maine. Very apropos. That is the type of museum visit to do on a car trip. Enjoy

Blast From the Past : I am in the process of weeding out my images and organizing them so I can find stuff. I opened a folder with photographs from a weavers' meeting in Denver, Colorado (Convergence). As I looked through the pictures I thought they might be fun to share. Denver is a great place with parks, a zoo, major league baseball and just a very interesting place to scope out.
